Theme:  "Ushers Supporting and Building Up One Another."  Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do. (1 Thessalonians 5:11)

Greetings Southern Region Ushers,

To our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I want to thank God for the opportunity to serve as Director of the Southern Region and Fourth Vice President for 2024-2025. With the Holy Spirit as my guide, your prayers, support, and commitment. We can continue to build and make new memories for generations to come. I would like to hear your ideas and let’s build together.

Thanks to those of you who attended the 105th National Convention in New Orleans, Southern Region you were awesome and a gracious host. Congratulations to the Southern Region Elected and Appointed Officers and the National Elected and Appointed Officers from the Southern Region. Let's get behind our officers and support each of them as we move forward together. As long as we stand in unity with Christ anything is possible.

The Goals for 2024-2025 are:

  • Plan for the 66th Southern Region Conference that will be held in Jackson, Mississippi on April 10th-12th .
  • To attend Arkansas State Federation Meeting and other states who may have function when available.
  • To continue to assist the Southern Region States in recruiting Southern Region New Churches and Members.
  • To help reestablish Tennessee as a state and assist in any capacity.
  • To establish a Women Empowerment Fellowship.
  • To encourage our States to work with the Willie J. Minnifield Training and Development Department in setting up various classes.
  • I plan to attend the 106th National Convention in Phoenix, Arizona.
  • Create a Southern Region Directory.

In closing, there is much work to be done, but this is not a race, I want us to walk, talk, laugh, and continue to fellowship together. If we keep God first, lean on one another second, we will see the progress before us.  Let me leave you with the motto of all usher ministry," If Every Ushers Was Just Like Me, What Would This Ushers Ministry be.?"

May the Lord bless you all!

Yours in Christ,

Rev. Travis L. Harden, DMin

Southern Region Director & Fourth Vice President, NUCUAA
